SSB CONSTRUCTION U.K. LTD is a private limited company established to undertake residential construction work. Our business is based on entering into written agreements to carry out defined building packages for clients.
Our work may involve constructing new homes, extending existing properties, refurbishing residential buildings or completing structural and internal alterations. The exact services, deliverables and responsibilities are set out for each project rather than assumed.
Our business model
How the company earns revenue
The company earns revenue by supplying construction labour, building materials, plant, site coordination and specialist trade packages where these are included in an agreed project scope.
We may be engaged through:
- A fixed-price quotation for a clearly defined package of work
- A building contract with staged payments or interim valuations
- An agreed schedule of rates for measurable work
- A day-work arrangement for authorised work where a fixed scope cannot reasonably be established in advance
- A subcontract covering a defined element of a wider residential construction project
The applicable method is recorded in the commercial documents for the project. Deposits, stage payments, retention, VAT treatment and final payment terms are stated where relevant and agreed before they apply.
Project responsibilities
What we do not assume
Construction projects can involve several separate professional and statutory roles. Unless our written agreement says otherwise, the client remains responsible for appointing and paying any architect, architectural designer, structural engineer, principal designer, surveyor, party wall surveyor, building control body or other professional required for the project.
Where we introduce or coordinate another business, its appointment and responsibility will be made clear. We will not describe third-party professional services as services delivered directly by SSB CONSTRUCTION U.K. LTD unless we are contractually responsible for them.

Where an approval, certification, inspection or third-party decision is required, we identify the relevant party rather than implying that the company can issue an approval outside its authority.
